Chervil (Anthriscus cerefolium)
GROWING SUMMARY

-
Chervil can be grown in spring for summer harvest but it does not like heat and will tend to bolt. It grows best in winter so we recommend planting a patch in the autumn.
-
Direct seed an meter or so of bed by lightly throwing seed around on top of the soil and pressing it in with your hands then keep the area damp. Chervil needs light to germinate and rich moist soil.
-
Chervil doesn't mind shade and also does well in big pots.
-
Harvest before it flowers for maximum flavour.
VARIETIES

There is very little choice of seed varieties in Australia. Just buy what you can find.
